From Research to Reality invites our research community to illustrate how their work transforms from concept into tangible impact, showing how ideas evolve, adapt, and shape the world around us.

The categories that fall under our overall theme have taken inspiration from Strathclyde 2030 and reflect the university鈥檚 purpose, goals and priorities showcasing the values that cement our commitment to being 鈥渁 place of useful learning鈥�

This category is all about research that puts people first, creating solutions that are fair, accessible, and inclusive. Encompassing all disciplines, 飞别鈥檙别 looking for entries that show how your research empowers communities, tackles inequality, or brings people together to ensure progress benefits everyone. This is your chance to highlight how your research is making the world a more inclusive place. 

Focusing on the enhancement of quality of life, health, and well-being, People & Possibility highlights research that showcases Strathclyde鈥檚 commitment to pioneering solutions that not only empower individuals but also uplift communities, fostering a healthier, more resilient, and inclusive society.  Images in this category should highlight research that will bring lasting impacts that enhance lives across all stages and walks of life. 

Future Foundations explores research dedicated to building a sustainable and equitable future. This category highlights innovative projects that tackle pressing environmental issues, promote sustainable practices, and champion the responsible use of resources. By integrating social, economic, and environmental perspectives, these projects aim to create a lasting impact, ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come. 

In 2025, we are introducing a new category that allows AI-generated images to be submitted and judged alongside other AI entries, separating them from non-AI submissions. This category will highlight the capabilities of artificial intelligence in visualizing complex research. AI Insights celebrates the fusion of creativity and technology, showcasing how AI-generated images can transform and enhance our understanding of research.
