The Institute of Energy and Environment is one of Europe鈥檚 leading and largest power systems and energy technology university research groups. Our 200 staff and researchers engage in a diverse range of collaborative, multidisciplinary research programmes, addressing issues such as the creation of sustainable energy systems, to the development of condition monitoring technologies and asset investment planning. We have a strong international focus and have been leading rural energy access research and capacity building partnership projects in sub-Saharn Africa for over 15 years.

The  provides an overview of the Renewable Energy Sector in Scotland, as well as the challenges and opportunities it faces.

Industry -  have a comprehensive directory of industry stakeholders.

Academia -  is an independent partnership of 14 Scottish universities, engaged in world-class energy research and innovation, and is the largest academic energy research partnership in Europe.

Communities -  manage the Scottish Government鈥檚 Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES) which supports communities across Scotland to engage with, participate in and benefit from the energy transition to net zero emissions.
