Fighting cancer
Category: Hope for humanity
Genes could be promising medicines to treat cancer, but their use is limited by a lack of carriers able to specifically deliver them to tumours. We have developed a new 鈥渟eek-and-destroy鈥 nanomedicine that has led to the disappearance of up to 90% of tumours in laboratory settings. This image shows the cancer (鈥渢he crab鈥) being surrounded by 鈥渟eek-and-destroy鈥 nanomedicines (鈥済rey vesicles鈥 on the arrows).
