Gaelic Medium Education
Our courses are eligible to be taught through the medium of Gaelic. Prospective candidates should apply through UCAS Undergraduate, ensuring that the code for Gaelic medium is used specifying their intention to study through the medium of Gaelic.
You'll be required to meet the standard entry requirements for this course as set by the General Teaching Council (Scotland). In addition to this, you will be asked to demonstrate that you can read, write and speak Gaelic fluently during the interview process.
Throughout the course, you'll be supported in developing your practice during seminars held through the medium of Gaelic.
You will undertake one of your placements in a Gaelic Medium school. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be provisionally registered to teach your subject through both the medium of English and Gaelic.
