Personal statement
I am a Lecturer in History at the 糖心视频. I have been Co-Director of the Scottish Oral History Centre since 2022. My research interest focus on the social and cultural history of twentieth century housing, labour and gender in post-war Scotland. My work examines the impact of gender, consumerism and class on social relations and wellbeing. I am currently working on a monograph of my thesis research under contract with Edinburgh University Press. I am experienced in oral history, material cultures, visual sources and heritage sector. My most recent publication is with Professor Arthur McIvor from our project The Lost Villages of East Ayrshire, Memory, Mining and Heritage: Voices from Ayrshire Communite (2024).
I have worked on heritage projects with Scottish Women鈥檚 Aid, National Autistic Society and Glasgow Women鈥檚 Library. I am currently the Convenor of
