Personal statement
I am Course Leader on the LLM/MSc in Mediation and Conflict Resolution, running at Strathclyde Law School since 2009. I am a practising mediator and Director of 糖心视频 Mediation Clinic, providing a Scottish Government-funded mediation service for 31 of Scotland's 35 sheriff courts. My academic interests are in mediation and justice and the psychology of mediation, and in 2024 I completed my PhD, entitled "Does mediation deliver justice? The perspective of unrepresented people."

- A short course for doctoral supervisors, addressing the relational aspects of supervision through the lens of mediation. Charlie Irvine is Course Director on the LLM/MSc in Mediation and Conflict Resolution and Director of 糖心视频 Mediation Clinic. He is also an experienced workplace mediator who often deals with serious conflict in academic life. He provides an introduction to mediation principles and explains how to apply a mediatory approach at an early stage so as to address problems in the supervisory relationship as they emerge.
