Sharing Practice in Effective Learning and Teaching (SPELT)
is a website containing case studies contributed by colleagues from across the university. It has case studies on a wide range of topics including assessment and feedback, online learning and interdisciplinary teaching and learning. Student Transitions
The current is 鈥淪tudent Transitions鈥�: supporting students to arrive at university, progress through key changes during their study, and to move into employment or further study at the end of their programme. Vertically Integrated Projects (VIPs)
Vertically Integrated Projects bring together undergraduates from different years and departments with postgraduates and academic staff to work on real-world research projects. The VIP model was developed at Georgia Tech University in the US, and there is now an international VIP consortium containing Strathclyde University. Strathclyde runs a range of VIPs across a number of disciplines.
Transforming the Experience of Students Through Assessment (TESTA)
TESTA is a process that helps Departments/Schools to understand their students鈥� perceptions of assessment and feedback, and to make programme improvements. By collecting and analysing a range of data, TESTA gives a birds-eye view of the impact that assessment and feedback processes are having on students, and provides a space for staff to reflect on what is working and what improvements might be possible. TESTA is provided as a centrally-resourced initiative for Departments/Schools about to undergo Internal Review, and as a tool for Departments/Schools and programme teams to use themselves.
